In Bach to Dreams of Flying, QSO will showcase two world premieres:Da Camera by George Theophilus Walker and Dreams of Flying by the acclaimed composer Victoria Bond, featuring soloists from Musica Reginae. The concert will also highlight two classic works -- Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 by J.S. Bach and the Capricorn Concerto by Samuel Barber.

| Judith Lang Zaimont featured at ZONES weekend |
Judith Lang Zaimont will be the featured artist February 11-13 for ZONES weekend in Huntsville Alabama With world premiere of SERENADE for Violin and Piano.
ZONES Piano Trio No. 2 was commissioned by the Hunstsville Chamber Music Society for its silver anniversary and premiered in Hunstville 15 years ago. They are reviving the piece, and have built a weekend-long festival around that event, using the theme of zones in sociology, physics, philosophy and music. Lectures, recitals, open rehearsals, two formal concerts.
ZONES will be programmed on Friday February 12, 2010 and that program also includes the world premiere of SERENADE in its new version for violin and piano, plus the Ravel Trio.

Essex Community Concerts presents the Ricochet Duo performing music for marimba & piano by NYWC members February 12, 2010 at 7:00 pm, Essex, NY.
The program will feature works by Faye-Ellen Silverman, Rain Worthington & Joelle Wallach.
These pieces will be performed again at the Women's Music Festivals at the Eastman School of Music on March 26, 2010 in Rochester, NY, and also included in a presentation March 18, 2010 at Indiana University, PA.

North/South Consonance, Inc. starts the new decade with a special concert entitled Midwinter Echoes. The event will be held Sunday, February 7th, 3pm at the auditorium of Christ & St. Stephen's Church (120 West 69th St) in Manhattan. Admission is free.
The North/South Chamber Orchestra will perform five recent works by living American composers. World-renown accordionist and composer William Schimmel will be the featured soloist while the orchestra?s founder Max Lifchitz will conduct.
The program will include Coastal Ghost (2009) by Allan Crossman, Suara Suadin(2009) by Thomas Whitman, Harold is Alive and Doing (Seemingly) OK Somewhere in Lisbon (2008) by William Schimmel, Coqui (2009) by Victoria Bond and They Will Take My Island (2009) by Robert Martin.

Ad astra per aspera, the third movement of Judith Lang Zaimont?s "Solar Traveller" Concerto for Piano and Wind Orchestra will be presented by the Indiana State University Wind Orchestra, Dr. John Boyd, Conductor, on Tuesday, November 17, at 7:30 pm in Tilson Auditorium, North 7th and Chestnut Streets on the campus of Indiana State University in Terra Haute, Indiana.
This ISU Premiere will be presented as part of their Contemporary Music Festival. Also on the program are works by Steve Reich, Andrew Boysen, Jr, Joshua Shank, Jon Washburn, Daniel Powers, Brian Balmages, Brett William Dietz and Roger Cichy.
The Wind Orchestra commissioned the work along with faculty members at the Peabody Institute, Eastman School of Music, Louisiana State University, Shepherd University, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Southern Mississippi.

American composer Judith Lang Zaimont?s Wizards ? Three Magic Masters will be performed by pianist Young-Ah Tak on Sunday, November 15 ? 3:00 PM at Catonsville Presbyterian Church, 1400 Frederick Road in Catonsville, Maryland.
Wizards, for solo piano in three movements, was commissioned for the November 2003 San Antonio International Piano Competition and was a required work for that competition, where it was given 12 premiere performances. It was recorded by Young-Ah Tak for Albany Records -
